About Us

Hi, it's nice to meet you- i'm Aileen!
My flower journey first started in 2017. After completing my Bachelor of Science degree, I realised my passion wasn't in the neuroscience or biochemistry lab, but in creating something beautiful with my hands. So, I took a leap of faith and put down a deposit for a flower business.
Stepping from student life into business ownership was a jump into the deep end, and becoming a florist was another challenge itself. I spent the early years mastering the techniques of floristry while liaising with suppliers, managing a shopfront, business admin, and staff.
Baby-faced and bright-eyed, I fondly remember the early market mornings with a little hatchback full of flowers, the late nights wrapping bouquets, and learning how to juggle it all at just 22!
The store quickly became my home away from home. I specialised in bespoke bouquets, corporate orders, and daily flower deliveries. Every client who came through the door, emailed, or phoned in was met with genuine care and attention.
As the years passed, my passion for the business and my clients blossomed. My team and I built a strong community, received interstate and international orders, and by 2024, we were the top rated florist in the area- an achievement close to my heart, as every review represented someone well looked after.
When i fell pregnant with my first child, I decided to hang up my snips. I knew the dedication I gave to my store would soon be redirected to my new role as a mum. Besides, taking maternity leave as a small business owner isn't as straightforward as it sounds.. especially when it falls over Valentine's Day and Mother's Day (the busiest time in floristry!).
But once the newborn haze lifted, I found myself missing the creative spark, the scent of fresh blooms and the joy of working with my hands again. And so, after a bit of late night doom-scrolling between feeds and nappy changes, the idea for Floral Forecast was born.
Floral is self explanatory.
Forecast represent's life's unpredictable nature. The seasons we move through, the surprises that come our way and the way passion has a habit of finding us again.
I once thought my floral journey had ended when I sold my first business, but as life would have it, the forecast changed and here I am creating, dreaming and flowering again.
The love and dedication that shaped my first business will pour into Floral Forecast in the same way, but this time, with a new focus on weddings and events.
Thanks for being here for the ride!
Love,
Aileen
